Our 3rd Grade students froze the yellow peeps and left them out over night. Then each student had to make a prediction about what would happen to the peeps as a result of their environment.

The frozen ones were cold and hard in the middle and a little sticky, while the ones left out over night became stale and hard. The pink peeps were put into cold and hot water to see which would dissolve faster. The results were that the hot water made the peep dissolve faster and made the color fade. The peeps in the hot water were decomposing faster than the cold water ones.
